Joiners

As a member of the joinery team within a busy production facility, the successful candidates will be involved in the mould and shuttering process for the production of stairs and wall panels.

Criteria

  • Must be a skilled joiner with a minimum of two years joinery experience.
  • Shuttering experience would be an advantage.
  • Must have the ability to understand technical drawings and to work as part of a team.
  • Flexible to work overtime such as evenings and/or weekends to meet production requirements.




Structural Engineer

This senior technical role will have responsibility for the design and physical integrity of our large structural projects, providing technical expertise, solutions and guidance to our sales, design, manufacturing and site teams across the business. The successful candidates will work closely with our client and other engineering professionals on safe design and solution development.  

Criteria

  • Applicants must be educated to degree level in Civil/Structural Engineering and have a minimum of 2 years structural engineering experience within the construction industry.
  • A sound knowledge of Autocad is essential
  • Working knowledge of software such as Robot, Tedds and Revit would be a distinct advantage.
  • Applicants must be customer focused with strong communication skills.
  • Precast concrete design experience preferable but not essential.




CAD/Revit Technicians

This role will involve working at design stage on a variety of prestigious and challenging building projects. The successful candidates will be part of a highly skilled team who will be responsible for developing general arrangement and manufacturing drawings for a wide range of structures and structural elements of our large flooring and precast concrete contracts.  

Criteria

  • Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years detailing experience within the construction industry and be fully competent in Revit.
  • Detailing experience in precast/reinforced concrete/structural steel would be desirable.
  • Applicants must have a knowledge of modern building techniques, structural details and materials.




Concrete General Operator / Brick Pointer

  • Previous experience making dry cast products is preferable.




Quantity Surveyor

As a member of a busy contracts team, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the achievement of agreed service as well as the accurate preparation of costing and accounts, commercial management of projects including contract terms, negotiation, subcontractor procurement, payment applications, cash collection, agreement of variations and final accounts, budget monitoring and forecasting and reporting on profit and loss status.

Criteria

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying plus 2 years post graduate experience in the construction industry
  • Ability to successfully meet monthly debt targets
  • IT Literate, with previous Sage software experience

Senior Quantity Surveyor

As a member of the contracts team, this role will involve the management of a team of Quantity Surveyors on a daily basis.  Applicants must have extensive contract and final account experience. The role will include the review of incoming contract documentation, preparation of commercial risk assessments, control and monitoring of change in contracts as well as the management of claims and variation accounts.  The successful candidate will be target driven, demonstrate an ability to resolve commercial issues and have a proven track record on final account agreements.  

Criteria

  • A minimum of 5 years QS experience in a sub-contract basis to main contractors
  • Must be educated to degree level in Quantity Surveying
  • Proven track record of dispute resolution and commercial management of contracts
  • Thorough knowledge of contracts with design element clauses
  • Experience of the precast industry is desirable, as is an understanding of technical and construction techniques in superstructures.




Site Supervisor

We are seeking to appoint capable individuals who will manage multiple precast flooring contracts throughout GB.  The core responsibilities of the role involves carrying out regular site visits for the submission of accurate risk assessments and method statements prior to delivery on site, agreeing site programmes, communicating daily with design, production & dispatch to ensure safe, successful delivery and profitable return on each contract.  The successful candidate will proactively manage site costs and performance against budget and have overall responsibility for leading the installation teams to meet daily programmes and H&S standards.  

This role will require the successful candidate to be flexible to travel to England approximately two days per week, however based at our head office in Toome thereafter.  

Criteria

  • A minimum of 2 years foreman/site supervision experience within the construction industry
  • Installation knowledge of precast flooring and stairs would be a distinct advantage
  • Experience of writing accurate risk assessments and method statements
  • Be commercially aware with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Valid Appointed Person and SMSTS/SSSTS qualification would be advantageous




Steel Fixers

Location: Toomebridge

The successful candidates will be working as part of a team who will be responsible for positioning and securing steel bars or steel mesh to reinforce concrete structures.  This will involve reading and interpreting working plans then adapting and assembling the steel bars/mesh by wiring or clipping into predetermined locations within the concrete.

 


Criteria

  • Must be a skilled steel fixer with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have previous experience within a precast concrete or construction environment.
  • Have the ability to understand technical drawings.
  • Strong organisational and communications skills are also important.




Plant Maintenance Manager

Location: Toomebridge

This new role within the business will be appointed to manage the maintenance, purchasing, hiring and usage of all company heavy plant, mobile plant and vehicles across all three regions of the company.  

Duties will include the development of an Asset Register and ensuring the effective management of assets on a weekly basis, as well as maintaining accurate inspection records to allow for reactive, preventative and predictive maintenance.  The ability to proactively manage maintenance works is an essential part of this role.  

Criteria

  • Preferably from am mechanical background with a sound working knowledge of heavy plant and machinery within the concrete and quarrying industries
  • Previous plant management experience is essential
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • IT literate




Health, Safety & Environmental Officer

Location: Toomebridge

The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and processes within our manufacturing facilities and local construction activities.  Reporting to the Health & Safety Director key responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out factory and site inspections to ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental legislation and internal management systems
• Chairing health and safety meetings
• Updating and reviewing method statements, risk assessments and safe systems of work
• Compiling training matrix and training needs analysis
• Carryout accident investigations and be instrumental in driving near miss reporting
• Supporting managers to carryout toolbox talks and safety briefings
• Complete pre-tender qualification questionnaires  

Criteria

  • A minimum of 2-3 years Health, Safety & Environmental experience within the construction industry
  • Extensive knowledge of H&S and Environmental legislation applicable to the construction industry and manufacturing environment
  • NEBOSH diploma or equivalent is essential
  • Environmental qualification is preferable
  • Graduate IOSH membership
  • Internal Auditor training for Integrated Management Systems (ISO 9001, 14001, 18001)
  • Strong communication skills and IT literate on Microsoft office packages




Forklift / Digger Operator

Senior Contracts Manager

This role will be responsible for leading a number of Project Teams to ensure the successful delivery of our construction projects within budget and within program.  This senior role will oversee the organisation, planning, delivery and commercial aspects during the lifecycle of large concrete flooring and precast projects.  

Responsibilities will include the management of the main contractor requirements and expectations as well as overseeing the planning, design, detailing, production, resourcing, installation and commercial aspects of each project in conjunction with the Project Team to ultimately ensuring that each project is delivered safely and profitably.  


Criteria

  • Applicants must have a sound knowledge of the engineering and technical aspects of construction combined with a good understanding of the buildability of concrete structures
  • The ideal candidate will have held a senior construction role within a precast or steelwork construction company and demonstrated a resilient business acumen and ability to achieve profit
  • Previous experience of successfully leading, growing and developing a multi-discipline team is essential
