Project Manager

Location: Toomebridge

Due to continued growth the company is seeking to employ Project Manager based at our Toomebridge facility. This role will be responsible for the organisation, planning and on-site delivery of large concrete flooring and precast projects. This will include the successful management of site programs, site installation teams, plant/equipment and ultimately ensuring that each project is delivered safely, on program and within budget.   

Criteria

  • Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years Project Management experience within the construction industry and flexible to travel throughout GB & NI.
  • A sound knowledge of the buildability of large precast structures would be a distinct advance but not essential.
  • A proven track record of projects management within budget is essential.
  • Applicants must have a technical understanding of construction and the ability to read AutoCAD drawings.




Bricklayers / Brick Pointers

Fulltime & Part-time Roles Available

We are seeking to appoint skilled Bricklayers and/or Brick Pointers to work within our Toome Precast Factories as we have a very busy 12-month period ahead of us.  This role would be ideal for Bricklayers/Brick Pointers who prefer to work in an indoor environment rather than site-based conditions. 

Our factories provide excellent working conditions, all tools and equipment are provided by the company and we provide good welfare facilities. 

Criteria

  • Must be a skilled Bricklayer/Brick Pointer.
  • Demonstrate an ability to deliver a high-quality finished product and follow quality standards/expectations.
  • Hourly rate is £11-£14 per hour.
  • Hours of work for full-time roles are 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Hours of work for part-time roles are negotiable.




Lorry Helper / Fitter

Working as part of a team, we are seeking to appoint a Lorry Helper/Fitter for the safe installation of concrete flooring and stairs in Ireland.  The role will involve working on both residential and commercial builds, using airbags and netting fall arrest systems, with both hired in cranes and our own offloaders.

Salary £9 to £10 per hour.

Criteria

  • Should have a minimum of 12 months’ precast installation experience on construction sites and hold a valid CSCS/CSR Card.
  • Driving license, NVQ Level 2 installer card, slinger/banksman, abrasive wheels, MEWP, first aid, SSSTS certs would all be advantageous.
  • The ability to work on site as a team is essential as well as the ability to work flexible hours as required.




Human Resources Officer

This is a varied role, providing a great opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of the Human Resources function, within an ever-expanding company. The successful candidate will be a key part of a Human Resources team dedicated to supporting the strategic needs of the business in terms of people and processes.  


Key responsibilities will include:-

All recruitment and selection duties to include advertising jobs, responding to enquiries, short-listing, co-ordinating the selection process in conjunction with divisional managers and drawing up job offers.

Administration of all HR-related documentation, such as offer letters, contracts of employment, updating personnel files and payroll administration.

Management of the induction process to ensure all new starts are integrated successfully into the company.  

Management of the PAMS system including the maintenance of all fair employment monitoring information and accurate completion of annual returns.  

Providing advice and guidance to managers and staff on employment legislation and employee relations matters as and when required.

Maintenance of the time and attendance system, absence management and holiday management company wide.  

Criteria

  • A minimum of 2 years human resources experience, preferably within the manufacturing/construction industry.
  • 3rd level qualification and preferably CIPD qualified.
  • A strong working knowledge of HR legislation.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Knowledge of the PAMS HR system would be desirable.




Workshop Joiners

Location: Toomebridge

We are seeking to recruit additional highly skilled and motivated workshop joiners within our factories at Toomebridge, who will be involved in the daily manufacturing of complex timber moulds for high quality architectural and structural precast products.    

As a member of the joinery team, the successful candidates will come from a finishing/workshop joinery background.  Applicants must have experience of reading technical drawings, fabricating moulds from drawings and working to strict dimensional and quality specifications. 





Revit/3D Modelling Technicians

This role will involve working at design stage on a variety of prestigious and challenging building projects. The successful candidates will be part of a highly skilled team who will be responsible for developing general arrangement and manufacturing drawings for a wide range of structures and structural elements of our large flooring and precast concrete contracts.

  • Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years detailing experience within the construction industry.
  • Detailing experience in precast/reinforced concrete/structural steel would be desirable.
  • Applicants must have a knowledge of modern building techniques, structural details and materials.




Concrete Finishers - Wet Concrete

We are seeking to appoint skilled concrete finishers for the placement and finishing of concrete to work within our Toome Precast Factories as we have a very busy 12-month period ahead of us.  This role would be ideal for concrete squads who prefer to work in an indoor environment rather than site-based conditions. 

Our factories provide excellent working conditions, all tools and equipment are provided by the company and we provide good welfare facilities. 

·         Must be a skilled and experienced concrete finisher responsible for pouring and finishing precast concrete elements.

·         Experience with power trowels is desirable.

·         Demonstrate an ability to deliver a high-quality finished product and follow quality standards/expectations.

·         Hourly rate is £10-£14 per hour.  

·         Fulltime roles for day shifts and/or evening shifts.

·         Hours of work for part-time roles are negotiable.





Structural Engineer

Location: Toomebridge

This senior technical role will have responsibility for the design and physical integrity of our large structural projects, providing technical expertise, solutions and guidance to our sales, design, manufacturing and site teams across the business. The successful candidates will work closely with our client and other engineering professionals on safe design and solution development.  

Criteria

  • Applicants must be educated to degree level in Civil/Structural Engineering and have a minimum of 2 years structural engineering experience within the construction industry.
  • A sound knowledge of Autocad is essential
  • Working knowledge of software such as Robot, Tedds and Revit would be a distinct advantage.
  • Applicants must be customer focused with strong communication skills.
  • Precast concrete design experience preferable but not essential.




Quantity Surveyor

As a member of a busy contracts team, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the achievement of agreed service as well as the accurate preparation of costing and accounts, commercial management of projects including contract terms, negotiation, subcontractor procurement, payment applications, cash collection, agreement of variations and final accounts, budget monitoring and forecasting and reporting on profit and loss status.

Criteria

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying plus 2 years post graduate experience in the construction industry
  • Ability to successfully meet monthly debt targets
  • IT Literate, with previous Sage software experience

Commercial Manager

The Commercial Manager is required to ensure that all commercial aspects of our large precast concrete contracts are properly managed and controlled and that the commercial strategy is further developed and delivered throughout all contracting divisions in accordance with the requirements of the business.   

This senior role will include development and implementation of the commercial management processes and procedures, from inception to final account including involvement in estimating, the bid formation process, review of contract documentation, preparation of commercial risk assessments, control and monitoring of change in contracts as well as the management of claims and variation accounts, cash flow awareness along with accurate preparation of accounts in terms of cost/revenues and individual project financial statements. It will also involve the management of a team of Quantity Surveyors on a daily basis.  
 
Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior commercial role and preferably within a sub-contract capacity to main contractors.   The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate extensive contract and final account experience and have a proven track record of dispute resolution and commercial management of contracts.  A thorough knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts with design element clauses would be a distinct advantage.  





Crane Operative, Twilight Shift
