Planner (Ref PL/0117)

This role involves the planning, budgeting and tracking of workflow from point of order, through design, detailing, manufacturing to installation on-site.  It is a central focal point across all functions to effectively communicate and help meet project requirements and deadlines. 

Responsibilities include the development of project schedules/programs and daily progress tracking on the status of each project, providing regular updates and if required to identify and resolve issues regarding budget and delivery. 

  • Applicants must have excellent IT skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.  
  • Previous experience in a planning role for either construction sites or manufacturing would be advantageous. 



Positions in our Manufacturing Facilities

Location: Hoveringham, Scotland and Toome

We have ongoing skilled roles within our production facilities in Toome, Scotland and Hoveringham, which include :- 

  • JOINERS REF: JR/0117 -  involved in the mould and shuttering process for the production of precast units, stairs and wall panels.
  • STEEL FIXERS REF: SF0117  - responsible for positioning and securing steel bars or steel mesh to reinforce concrete structures.  This will involve reading and interpreting working plans then adapting and assembling the steel bars/mesh by wiring or clipping into predetermined locations within the concrete.
  • CONCRETE FINISHERS REF: CF0117 - responsible for patching concrete and acid etching on precast concrete units to leave a high quality finished product. 



Site Installers/ Fixers   (Ref : SF/0117)

Location: England and Scotland

Working as part of a team, we are seeking to appoint a number of Precast Site Installers/Fixers for the safe installation of specialist precast products, concrete flooring and stairs throughout GB The role will involve working on both residential and commercial builds, using airbags and netting fall arrest systems, with both hired in cranes and off-loader lorries.

Criteria

  • Applicants must have a minimum of 12 months precast installation experience on construction sites and hold a valid CSCS/CSR Card.  
  • A driving license, NVQ Level 2 installer card, slinger/banksman, abrasive wheels, MEWP, first aid, SSSTS certs would all be advantageous but not essential. 
  • The ability to work on site as a team is important and applicants must be flexible to travel throughout GB. 



Lorry Drivers – To Deliver Flooring  Ref (LDF/0117)

Location: Hoveringham, Scotland and Toome

We are seeking to appoint a number of lorry drivers who will be responsible for the delivery and installation of precast flooring units from our manufacturing facilities in Hoveringham, Scotland, Toome and Ardboe. 

Criteria

  • Applicants must have a current category C&E licence and a drivers CPC qualification card.  
  • Previous experience working with a radio controlled crane and the ability to work flexible hours and work away from home are essential.  
  • Ideally the candidate will have Hiab/ crane certificates. 



Technical Sales Representative (Ref : TSR/0117)

Our Structural Projects Division is responsible for the sales, manufacturing and site installation of large precast concrete projects mainly within the educational, custodial, infrastructure and commercial sectors of the construction industry throughout GB and NI. 

  • As a result of continued growth within our precast markets, we are seeking to appoint a number of additional technical sales representatives, who will be part of an already existing sales team, selling our specialist precast concrete products.  
  • These individuals will be responsible for successfully winning orders through strong customer relations, attending sales meetings with clients and the production of accurate cost buildups and schemes for large structural projects.  The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of construction. 
  • A technical and commercial understanding of the buildability of concrete structures would be desirable.  This position would be ideal for someone from an estimating, detailing and/or engineering background wishing to progress their career.



CAD/Revit Technicians (Ref:CADR/0117)

This role will involve working at design stage on a variety of prestigious and challenging building projects. The successful candidates will be part of a highly skilled team who will be responsible for developing general arrangement and manufacturing drawings for a wide range of structures and structural elements of our large flooring and precast concrete contracts. 

Criteria

  • Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years detailing experience within the construction industry and be fully competent in AutoCAD or Revit.  
  • Detailing experience in precast/reinforced concrete/structural steel would be desirable.   
  • A working knowledge of Revit would be a distinct advantage.   
  • Applicants must have a knowledge of modern building techniques, structural details and materials. 



Managing Surveyor                          (Ref MS/0117) 

Location: Toome

This role will primarily be based at Toome, however will require travel to England and Scotland.   Responsibilities will include commercial management, from inception to final account including involvement in estimating, the bid formation process, interim valuations and cash flow awareness along with accurate preparation of accounts in terms of cost/revenues and individual project financial statements.   A working knowledge of NEC and JCT Design and Build Contracts is essential.

Criteria

  • Applicants should possess a Professional Qualification in a relevant discipline and have a minimum of 5 years surveying experience working on large construction packages for national main contractors, in a sub-contract capacity.  
  • Applicants must demonstrate a track record of working on complex construction projects alongside delivering projected profits.   
  • Previous extensive experience of managing a commercial team is essential, as is experience in agreeing sub-contract terms.  



Structural Engineer (Ref: SE/0117)

This senior technical role will have responsibility for the design and physical integrity of our large structural projects, providing technical expertise, solutions and guidance to our sales, design, manufacturing and site teams across the business. The successful candidates will work closely with our client and other engineering professionals on safe design and solution development.

Criteria

  • Applicants must be educated to degree level in Civil/Structural Engineering 
  • A minimum of 2 years structural engineering experience within the construction industry.  
  • A sound knowledge of Autocad is essential and working knowledge of Revit would be a distinct advantage.  
  • Applicants must be customer focused with strong communication skills.

Production Supervisor (Ref : PS/0117)

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all operational functions necessary to maintain full production within a busy precast concrete factory.  This will involve the reading and understanding of technical drawings and transfer these drawings into production in an efficient and cost effective manner.  Applicants must be target driven to achieve production volumes daily, whilst maintaining high quality standards both in terms of structural standards and aesthetic standards. 

Criteria

  • The successful candidate must have a minimum of 2 years supervisory/foreman experience within a production facility
  • A sound knowledge of concrete products.  
  • The ability to demonstrate strong management and team building qualities in terms of managing labour resources and factory costs is essential.  



Project Managers (Ref : PM/0117)

This role will mainly be based throughout our construction site in GB and will be responsible for the organisation, planning and on site delivery of large concrete flooring and precast projects. This will include the successful management of site programs, site installation teams, plant/equipment and ultimately ensuring that each project is delivered safely, on program and within budget.  

Criteria

  • Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years Project Management experience within the construction industry and flexible to travel throughout GB & NI. 
  • A sound knowledge of the buildability of large precast structures would be a distinct advance but not essential.  
  • A proven track record of projects management within budget is essential. 
  • Applicants must have a technical understanding of construction and the ability to read autocad drawings. 


Precast Erector Apprentice – N. Ireland, England and Scotland Ref: PEA/0315

Creagh Concreter Products Ltd are looking to build for the future and therefore a number of vacancies have now arisen for Precast Erector Apprentice within a busy and demanding structures division.  This is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidates to develop within the manufacturing and construction industry.   

The role of Precast Erector Apprentice, who will report directly to the Structures Manager, will be significant in projects as diverse as high rise buildings and car parks with the majority of projects based in England and Scotland therefore will involve travelling.  The apprenticeship of 2 years will allow you to learn all of the skills necessary to become a competent Precast Erector, how to use specialist equipment and how to plan lifting operations.  Creagh Concrete Products Ltd will provide training in all aspects of precast design, manufacture and erection and training required to achieve NVQ Structural Precast Installer.
