Document Controller

The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and maintenance of project documents for our large structural precast contracts.  The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment to ensure that accurate information is distributed to the project supply chain, on time and accurately. 

The Role

  • Sort and store electronic and hard copy documents for designers, surveyors, architects, contractors and other colleagues.
  • Organise and maintain a drawing register as new information becomes available during design and detailing of contracts as well as logging all design changes to drawings and uploading as required.
  • Remove and file appropriately the superseded drawings as they are presented as well as update the required document control portal.
  • Ensure the smooth flow of information for the project team from design through to site.
  • Conduct regular reviews/audits and produce document progress reports for the senior team.
  • Track and submit all design queries, technical submittals, inspection reports and plans for each project.
  • Quality checking of documentation and maintaining accurate registers of review.
  • Other administration duties as required

The Person

  • Previous experience in a document controller role would be desirable
  • Computer literate: competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, 4 Projects or another documents control software system
  • Attention to detail with strong organisational skills
  • Motivated and reliable to achieve deadlines
  • Ability to implement continuous improvement techniques in the workplace
