Our prestressed concrete products are being used on an exciting £40 million new build college in Ballymena, Co. Antrim.  The new state-of-the-art campus will consolidate the College’s Ballymena provision, catering for around 1,800 learners. It will provide world-class facilities, enabling the delivery of training, skills and education.

Creagh supplied and fitted approx. 20,000m2 of pre-stressed hollowcore floors - a mixture of 200 & 250mm slabs. We also provided the wet works package (rebar & concrete). This is a 6 zone job, and we are pleased to say that 5 of these are now completed. Our expert team have been on site for 75 days averaging 3 loads per day, achieving excellent efficiencies and results.

It is a steel frame building with a lot of complex lifts but our competent fitters managed this along with our highly skilled crane operators.

Our prestressed Hollowcore slabs are lightweight, yet durable enough to provide floors to support heavy loads. They deliver outstanding thermal properties and offer improved thermal efficiency in buildings. Floor slabs can be installed at ground floor, first floor and multi-storey levels - reducing the associated risks with time on site and the use of in-situ alternatives.
