Our client Watkin Jones Homes have completed a new ‘build to rent’ apartment development in south London. The new apartment block is an impressive 21 storeys (incorporating underground parking), with a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments.
Totalling 165 units, the lower ten floors will contain ten apartments per floor and the upper, seven per floor. The tenth floor boasts a roof terrace and resident's facilities.
The site is located on Sutton Road, in the prime commuter belt, making it a very desirable address, but this presented challenges for construction. Working together with Watkin Jones Homes & architect, Brock Carmichael, Creagh has developed an offsite manufactured, sophisticated facade design that overcomes these issues.
The offsite manufactured approach streamlines the construction process, minimises the potential for construction defects, improves build quality, and reduces health and safety risk.
Creagh were delighted to supply a brick faced and acid etched (insulated / sandwich) panelled facade and acid etched balconies.
